The KYVU T13 is a large handmade wide-tooth comb with handle, built specifically for very thick, coarse and heavily tangled hair that standard wide-tooth combs struggle with.
Its 14 extra-wide-spaced teeth are designed for hair so thick or tangled that closer-spaced teeth simply cannot pass through without excessive force. The generous gaps allow the T13 to move through dense sections with far less resistance, reducing the pulling and breakage that comes from forcing a comb through hair it was never designed to handle.
The step-tapered tooth design amplifies this further. Each tooth has a rigid square base that transitions into a directional tapered tip, narrowing to a smooth rounded point. This geometry means teeth slide between hair strands rather than pushing against them — a progressive, gentle separation of even densely matted sections.
The curved C-shaped spine adds a third layer of comfort — teeth make graduated contact with the hair rather than engaging all at once, distributing the combing force across the stroke rather than concentrating it at a single point.
Crafted from premium cellulose acetate — plant-derived, eco-friendly, and significantly lower in static than plastic — the T13 glides through hair without causing frizz or flyaways. Each comb is individually hand-finished by skilled craftspeople, with smooth rounded tooth tips and no rough edges or mould lines.
