The KYVU B16 features a unique alternating tooth pattern that sets it apart from standard detangling combs. Where a conventional comb presents all its teeth in a single plane — hitting tangles and knots with uniform resistance — the B16's teeth alternate direction with each tooth, angled slightly left then right in a criss-cross pattern. This means tangles are approached from multiple angles simultaneously, breaking apart more gradually and gently rather than being forced through in one direction. The result is noticeably reduced pulling, less breakage, and a more comfortable detangling experience, particularly for thick, textured, curly and long hair.
Crafted from premium cellulose acetate — a plant-derived material that generates significantly less static than plastic — the B16 glides through hair without causing frizz or flyaways. It is free from the sharp mould lines common in injection-moulded combs, making it kinder to both hair and scalp throughout use.
At 19 cm with an ergonomic shaped handle, the B16 gives you the grip and control needed to work through sections of thick or tangled hair comfortably. Each comb is individually hand-finished by skilled craftspeople, with smooth rounded tooth tips and no rough edges.
